Finally... a water timer that is simple to use and program, very high quality, and doesn't drown or dry out your plants and lawn! I did a lot of research and have used the competitor's options for a few years (Orbit, Gardena, Melnor). I have spent enough money replacing either dead timers or dead plants to more than pay for this system (and I take my timers in at the end of each season and maintain my things). My LinkTap system setup has a gateway and five water (tap) timers because I have a lot of separate gardens in different locations around the house and yard. My gateway is located in my basement and my house is on about a 1/2 acre lot. While not the cheapest solution out there, the money you invest here will more than pay off by not having to frequently replace cheaper, poorly made timers or dead plants/lawn (and saving you money on water if you're not on a well)!

After using various Wifi based taps over the years, this product is simply on a different level. Incredibly easy to setup, very far range, almost impossible to fault.

A few reasons why it is so good. Firstly if you have a very large garden like me you can create a gateway quasi mesh system to make sure all sprinklers have coverage (not that this seems to be needed, range is far more extensive than even my home security system which by the way can't mesh so already LinkTap is ahead of the game).

Secondly the app is super simple to use, has an auto rain system to not turn on, a series of failsafe controls to ensure that even a network outage won't stop the tap from turning on.

The third and final great aspect about this system is that it feels and acts as if it was built by professionals for professionals. The devices are sturdy, look like they could withstand heavy weather conditions. Excellent build quality on comparison to other devices out there. Also surprisingly quiet when in operational.

All I can say is that I can't believe I didn't discover this item before now. If you are reading this then I urge you to buy this products in favour of any others. Put simply this is the best product out there.

I am using this with a misting device from Hoselink for keeping my worm farm cool during summer. Before, i tried using other hose timers from ebay, but they didnt do well. Then i came across LinkTap and have been using it for the past 3 weeks. It is a breeze to setup and works very intuitively. It has been designed very well. I had some suggestions on software and the support team is super fast in answering questions and suggestions. Regarding range, my worm farm is about 20 m away and the on-off has never failed me. This company is the apple of tap timers. I wish them continued success and brilliance in engineering.

The device makes a solid impression, the ZigBee connection of tap and gateway is really good, despite 3 thick walls in between, it is reliably watered. Ordered another one right away. For the price (tap and gateway) the offer is really unbeatable.

I've been fighting for two years with a competitive brand bought more expensive: connection interruptions, resets galore, and finally failure of the Cloud box. Here, none of that: everything connects perfectly and very very quickly, a brief registration and connected watering is ready. Wireless coverage is very high, battery consumption almost nonexistent (the watering box pauses quickly and is reactivated with the box connected). The icing on the cake: a screwdriver is provided to open the battery compartment as well as a gasket and a spare screw. The class!
